Bishop Jessie A Richardson

Bishop Jessie Ann Davis Richardson, a native of Newark, New Jersey, was born on January 5, 1955. She is the oldest of three children born to the union of the late Elder Jesse Paul Davis and the late Mother Marie Davis.  She is the wife of Bishop Samuel Kenneth Richardson who is a twenty-two (22) year Veteran of the United States Navy (Retired).  They are the proud parents of six children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grands. 

After graduating from Central High School in Newark, New Jersey Bishop Jessie continued her education by earning an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Essex College of Business, Newark, New Jersey. A Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Education, and a Teacher Diploma both from Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, Georgia.   A Diploma in Biblical Counseling from Light University; and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Theology Seminary, Camilla, Georgia.  Bishop Jessie is a Certified Temperament Counselor with the National Christian Counselor Association and a Certified Pastoral Member of the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counseling.

Accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of twelve, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Jessie has been involved in various offices of the church from the pulpit to the door under the watchful eye of her father, Elder Jesse Davis pastor of the Davis Chapel Baptist Church, making sure that she understood that “only what we do for Christ will last.”  Her love for God and God’s people helped her to realize and cultivate her ability to nurture, empower, and mentor the hurting, and downtrodden whom the Devil has convinced there is no hope.

Because of divine inspiration, Bishop Jessie was ordained into the Pastorate in May of 2000 when she became the pastor of Davis Chapel Ministries.  But it didn’t stop there, after much prayer and seeking direction from the Lord she was elevated resulting in her consecration to the office of Bishop in April of 2003 under the Apostolic Covering of Apostle Sylvester Davis Johnson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

 

Today Bishop Jessie is now a member of the Executive Board of Bishops for Unified Body of Christ International, Inc., under the Apostolic Covering of Bishop Ezra Paul Davis. She shares in all the responsibilities of the Presiding Prelate and is responsible for holding up that individual’s arms in prayer and in uncompromising work as the 1st Presiding Bishop under Bishop Ezra Davis.  

She is also the General Secretary and Liaison of Foreign Ministries for Unified Body of Christ, International. 
Bishop Jessie is also the pastor and founder of Eagles Wings Christian Ministry in Jacksonville Florida and the Jurisdictional Bishop for the Southern Jurisdiction of Unified Body of Christ International.

Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13-

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
